Near, far, wherever you are — you’ll be able to join Jack and Rose to be king — or queen — of the world on the most famous ship in history. 20th Century Fox announced plans to open up a ‘Titanic’ theme park, giving fans a chance for their hearts (and love for the movie) to go on.
If you’ve ever dreamed of Leonardo DiCaprio, 40, drawing you as one of his “French girls” or holding up Kate Winslet, 40, at the bow of the biggest ship ever, you’re in luck! Titanic is rising from the depths of the ocean to become the latest movie turned into a theme park attraction. You know what that means — cue Celine Dion, 47!
Before fans start packing their bags to board the “Ship of Dreams,” they’re going to have to wait a few years. The Titanic theme park won’t open until 2018, reports E! News. And — it’s going to be in Dubai, a country that’s so rich that it can afford the estimated $850 million it’s going to cost to raise the Titanic from the bottom of the sea — and put it in the Middle East.
As what Titanic fans can expect to see or do when they attend the theme park, loose lips sink ships so the park’s designers are keeping quiet. However, they did say it will feature “an immersive experience that includes motion theater simulators and will allow you to experience what it was like to be on the Titanic in an exciting way,” reports tell Variety.
